I am calling on President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to ask Liberian President Ellen Sirleaf to uphold the Liberian Constitution by asking her three children to resign their senior governmental positions. They are Fumba, Charles and Robert Sirleaf-Director of National Security Agency, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank and Chairman of the Board of the National Oil Company respectively. Liberians frown on the Ghadaff's style leadership President Sirleaf is promoting in Liberia. The Liberian Constitution in Chapter II Article 5c says that " the Republic should take steps, by appropriate legislation and executive orders, to eliminate sectionalism and tribalism, and such abuses of power as the misuse of government resources, nepotism and all other corrupt practices". As a Liberian American, I call on President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to advise President Sirleaf to desist from promoting NEPOTISM and help to promote good governance as a way forward in building a vibrant society.
